In 2017, I graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelors in Dietetics. I then completed my Community Service at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital and am still currently working there as a Clinical Dietitian. Here, I have gained valuable experience in both an in-patient and out-patient setting in conditions relating to paediatric, infant and maternal nutrition, as well as weight management and various chronic diseases.
Having a desire to keep up to date with the most recent evidence-based nutrition, I have completed many specialized courses. These are in the fields of:
-Irritable Bowel Syndrome (EatFit Low FODMAP accredited).
-Nutrigenomics and Nutrigenetics (3x4 accredited).
-Food Allergies (FARE Paediatric Food Allergy Training and AFSA training).
-Weight Management (CDE Optifast accredited).
A balanced diet together with leading an active lifestyle go hand in hand when striving towards a healthier way of life. I therefore decided to expand my career and become a Pilates teacher, completing my Instructor training through the Health and Fitness Professional's Academy in 2018. This has given me the tools to help individuals incorporate safe and enjoyable exercises into their busy daily routines.
I am an avid foodie and strongly believe there is no need for unnecessary restrictions and cutting out food groups. I wish to provide individuals with the knowledge on how to nourish their bodies, eat more mindfully and remove all things "fad diet" related.
